MEET THE FINEAPPLE BEHIND THE DESIGNS

CANDRA CHURCH She/Her/Hers
Have you ever taken a funny bit a little too far? Welp, this is my funny bit that I won’t let die. It was a sunny summer day, I was a fresh 20, and like any aspiring “real adult” during the summer I was galivanting about the city with my bestie. On this particular day I had my hair secured tightly on the top of my head. With the sun beating down an uncanny shadow was cast on the sidewalk. My bestie laughed, slapped my arm, and pointed out that my shadow looked like a pineapple. From that day on, any time we saw a pineapple IRL she would say “Look Can, it's you!” And it I became!

Pineapples aside, I have been an artist for as long as I can remember, and creativity is at the core of everything I do. From graphic design and illustration all the way to burlesque and drag shows, if it involves making something expressive and impactful, you can bet that I’m all in. With eight years of experience as a professional graphic designer, I’m always looking to evolve, learn, and push my art further.

Beyond design, I am deeply passionate about human rights, especially advocating for marginalized communities. As a bisexual artist who came out later in life it is a goal of mine to collaborate with the LGBTQ+ community in Boise, using art to amplify voices and raise funds for those who need it most. (Stay tuned for my upcoming project! 😉)

When I’m not creating, you can usually find me at the movies, rewatching Practical Magic for the hundredth time, or hanging out with my handsome child, a husky named Max. And yes, I do have a mild pineapple obsession, but hey, it’s not hurting anyone, let me live my life please!

Slay the day, my Fineapple Kings, Queens, and Royals.
